Keep your data
on your machine.
The downloadable database.
The supplied database tools store data in directories you select and serve their consoles on loopback. They do not upload your database to this website or a hosted SaaS. The three-node lab sends protocol messages between local loopback processes.
Files and stored values are plaintext, protected by filesystem permissions. There is no application encryption or authenticated public networking. Use disposable data for this experimental evaluation.
This website and downloads.
This static website has no signup form, analytics script, remote fonts or database-upload feature. The website hosting provider and GitHub download provider can receive ordinary request metadata such as IP address and browser information.
Free binary evaluation.

You may download, install, run and make backup copies of the official executables without charge for personal or internal evaluation, experimentation and development. The source remains private. Third-party components retain their own licenses, reproduced in the package’s THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt. Read LICENSE inside the package for the complete binary evaluation terms. The preview is supplied as is, without a warranty, support commitment or service-level agreement.
The planned hosted service.
Polybase SaaS is coming soon and will have separate terms. This download does not create a hosted account or send your database to that future service. No launch date is promised.
